Dear Parents/Carers
Re: Heatwave and Uniform Expectations from Thursday 10 July 2025
Thank you for your continued support concerning the recent adjustments to the school uniform. We have received numerous positive messages acknowledging our decision to implement these changes in response to the recent heatwave, with the wellbeing of our students remaining our foremost priority. With another heatwave forecast from Thursday 10 July, the following uniform expectations will remain in place until the end of Module 6.
Year 7, 8, 9 and 10
All students are permitted to wear their school PE kit to school. This consists of:
- Plain red, blue or green polo shirt or t-shirt
- Plain black shorts, leggings or tracksuit bottoms
- Trainers
Shorts should be either football style, or knee length cycling shorts. Hot pant style shorts, or running shorts with split sides are not permitted. All items should be suitable for wearing in a school environment.
Hoodies, tracksuit tops and non-school PE kit items are not permitted. Parents will be contacted if students arrive in school in unsuitable clothing. Please would you ensure that your son/daughter is aware of these expectations.
If your child does not want to wear their PE kit, then they may wear their normal uniform, without a jumper, tie or blazer.
Charity Collection – Tuesday 22 July
We will still be carrying out our charity collection for Slide Away on Tuesday 22 July (final day of the module) as noted in the End of Term Arrangement letter, but students will remain in their PE kit.
Many thanks for your support.
Yours faithfully
