Leigh Academy Wilmington is excited to implement ‘IRIS Connect’, a new innovative teaching and learning software. This tool uses a secure video system to help our teachers develop professionally, improve educational standards, and enhance student outcomes.
The use of IRIS Connect will empower our teachers to continue to develop as highly effective practitioners, ensuring every student gets the best possible learning experience. The platform makes it easy for our staff to reflect on their teaching and share outstanding examples with colleagues across the Academy and the Trust. This collaboration fosters creativity in the classroom, enabling teachers to implement new and innovative teaching, learning, and assessment techniques.
Recordings made with IRIS Connect are secure and private and will only be utilised by a limited number of staff and lessons. These can only be accessed by the teacher who made the recording or, for specific professional development purposes. Recordings will happen during normal lessons and do not require any additional participation from students.
